“Do you love him, Mia?” He repeats the question, looking down at her with an intensity that makes her feel as if she were burning up right in front of him.
“I said I pass.” The words are a whisper on her lips, her voice trembling. She’s angry – angry that he’s managed to get to her, angry that she’s allowed him to burrow so deep into her psyche in less than twenty-four hours. But it’s the longing in his eyes, the pain that makes her answer, makes her tell him something she hasn’t even really been able to admit to herself until this moment. She knows she would do anything to take the pain in his eyes away, to lighten the darkness he carries with him, the darkness that wasn’t there before. “I don’t know.” She takes a deep breath. “I thought I did, but recently…I’m not so sure.”
Ray closes his eyes, as if he’s gathering himself together and when he opens them again, they burn with need. “Did you love me?” Ray’s voice is rough and full of emotion and when Mia looks up at him her eyes are shining with tears.
“It’s not your turn.” Her voice is barely a whisper as he ducks his head down so his face is only a matter of inches away from hers. She feels the pull of his body, making her lean slightly towards him without even realizing.
“Mia, I’ve missed you so much.” She feels his breath as he says the words against her lips and softly, achingly slowly, his mouth covers hers.
It’s a tentative kiss, unsure of how she’s going to react, but Mia feels her body take over and she responds, opening her mouth willingly as he deepens the kiss. He crushes her mouth with his and his hands are in her hair, his fingers tangling in her curls. She grabs his shirt, pulling herself up and pulling him down at the same time, bringing him closer to her, kissing him harder and harder. Amazon

Another fantastic book by author Tabitha Conall!!From the start of this book my attention was roused. For army rangers sexy taut hard bodies not to mention tough lions!!! In Afghanistan Bowie which is one of the rangers meets the woman of his dreams Eva a black jaguar , but she seems to only want friends with work and everything. Later on back in the states they get to see each other again and learn what they decide to do...is a job more important than love? You also get introduced to Kane ,another ranger that has a horrible past , and needs to get someone else out of that danger as well. This is a fantastic book with lots of hot sexy scenes and more ! A must read first book of the new series! This book was given to me in return of an honest review..

A dark thrilling adult novel that will keep your attention..recommended..In the beginning of the novel you get to learn a lot about Amora a vampire with a vengeance. She's filled with hate , non trusting, tortured, and broken. She has her club and her son Ripper who you learn much more in the second half of the book. The beginning was confusing at times sort of all over maybe trying to cover to much at once. Especially when lark comes in to play first she's talking about having her as a meal then lark is stalking her at a motel to tell her about the order. The hunters , made evil , made to kill or breed. A place Amora knows to well. Meadow her niece is there a little kid that Lark needs Amoras help getting out , but not realizing what that may cause or do to Amora . I really enjoyed the second half more I loved Ripper which is Amoras son. He's half demon half vampire , but you'll learn the reason of why and how this came to be once you read the book. He is one of those guys the women swoon over but he has his eyes on someone, and tries his charms even though he fails a lot at doing so. They find out more of there family maybe alive , and they don't leave anyone behind .no matter what the dangers within the walls. Ripper has the weight of the world on his shoulders. He's been chosen to be something that he has no control over even though the demon inside him begs to get out. He's fate has been decided, but then something else happens that makes the need to prolong it even more,even though theres danger around every corner wanting to hurt his family. If you like a heated f/f and m/f read with a lot of dark elements you'll enjoy this novel overall . I know I did and I can't wait to find out what happens next !! I did receive this novel from IndiGo Marketing & Design for an honest review.
