She turned not letting go of their hands, making it so they crossed across her stomach. As she reached her small living area, she let go of them wandering to the small fireplace against one wall. Turning she leaned back against it and asked again, “Why are you here?”
“You really don’t know Sunshine?” He was baffled. Yeah sure, she was in a bad place when they met her up until they left, but they were the only ones she connected with while she was in the hospital. Her brothers had told them she’d deteriorated after they left. That she’d closed into herself even more. So they’d thought that maybe she felt a connection to them.
Looking between them, she seemed to ponder her words before speaking, “Your voices, they’re everywhere. They follow me in my dreams, chase away my nightmares. I get chills down my spine, and it feels like you’re here.” She stopped and took a breath, while he was trying to grasp what she was saying. “But when I look around and realize you’re not? It’s the worst feeling in the world. Like I can’t breathe, the air would get sucked from my lungs and I’m left gasping like a fish out of water.”
“Sunshine,” Linc whispered walking closer to her, only stopping when she shook her head no.
“I just don’t understand what you want. You were there, and I was safe, and everyone left me alone. But then you left, and it was like I was in hell again. For days I waited for you to come back and you didn’t.” Sobbing she sunk to the ground with her arms covering her head.

This book is about Kennedy, Creedence, and Lincoln .Creedence and Lincoln are both falling for Kennedy , but lost her as soon as they found her to her own darkness. So much has happened to Kennedy can she be redeemed? Or can they bring Kennedy back to the brink before its too late? K.L Donn has a way with keeping you devouring each page, holding your attention from page 1. With so much pain, trying to teach Kennedy to trust again, the patience within the brothers , a need to redeem , and such a strong heroine, its a very emotional read. A fantastically written 5 star book, it was nice to watch the author grow through this series as well . it'll captivate your very soul.

“Sometimes good people have to do bad things,”
This book took me some time to figure out how to put what I wanted to say into words for my review.
At first it started out really slow, which is unusual for anyone that reads PJ Adams. Then it was skipping from past tense to present tense between both of the main characters Alex, and Sunita . It was slow until a quarter or so of the way in at least, but after getting through those periods of past present slowness you understand later that the information is quite crucial halfway in the book, carrying on to the end. You would be completely confused of the complexity in Alex, and Laura, as well as other important characters, and happenings. The Plot is terrific and catches you off guard and I must add The author wrote the ending with one he1l of a punch!
Some swoony worthy moments , a woman that isn't afraid to stand up for what she believes in whether its with guns pointed or drinking c…
